Punctuality and Attendance

Leave of Absence Policy

  • Students must be punctual and regular. No student may remain absent without prior permission from the Principal/Coordinator.

  • Students absent due to sickness or unavoidable reasons must report back with written permission from the Principal/Coordinator. A Medical Certificate is mandatory in case of illness.

  • A student absent for one week continuously without permission will be marked as LEFT. Re-admission is not automatic and, if permitted, will require payment of a ₹1,000 re-admission fee.

  • Leave letters must be addressed to the Principal and submitted through the Coordinator. Medical leave must be accompanied by a Medical Certificate.

  • Students will not be permitted to leave the school early, except for genuine medical appointments.

  • In case of sudden illness during school hours, prior permission must be obtained from the Principal. The absence record signed by the parent/guardian must be submitted to the Class Teacher on the next working day.

  • Students must not absent themselves on the reopening day, closing day of the term, or immediately after holidays such as Christmas, Deepavali, Pongal, etc.

  • Absence during examinations or tests will be taken seriously. Applications with a Medical Certificate must be submitted in person by the parent to the Principal/Coordinator on the same day. No re-test or re-examination will be conducted.

  • Students must maintain a minimum of 85% attendance during the academic year. Failure to do so may result in detention from the final examination.
